Nature Photographer
I fell in love with the mountains, canyons, and wildflowers of the Southwest when my husband and I moved to Colorado in July 1997. Everywhere we hiked, skied, or showshoed through the San Juan mountains, there was a new grand panorama — and the most beautiful wildflowers I’d ever seen.
It was like living in a painting, and I began trying to capture the feeling on film. This passion for nature photography continued with trips to Sanibel Island, Vancouver B.C., Alaska, and Door County, Wisconsin.
I earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Journalism at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and spent 10 years writing and editing in Chicago. Now I’m focused on my family and nature photography based in the Milwaukee area.
This effort is dedicated to my incredible mom, Mary, whose life is a model of hope, courage, beauty, and optimism. She is a true inspiration and I am eternally grateful.
